IBEW Interview Questions

After my students pass the IBEW Aptitude Test, the next step is the interview.

Some interview questions that were asked:

What does an electrician do?

Why do you want to do this job?

Why do you want to work here?

Why didn't you join when you were 18?

Why didn't you go to college?

Would you be willing to drive anywhere in our jurisdiction? Anywhere on this map?

How do you feel about trench digging?

Interview Setting

The interview might last only 10 minutes. And you are likely interviewed by several people at the same time.

How to Answer

Be honest and open. Let them know you want to learn and do things the way they teach you.
